Our Club Coaches

Meet our coaching team — a passionate group committed to creating opportunities, nurturing development and inspiring every girl to shine.

Head Coach Sam

Head Coach – Sam

Karen began coaching in 2023, learning from Sam and Sara, and has since achieved England Netball Level 1 and 2 coaching awards. In 2025, she started supporting Manchester Thunder as a development coach while continuing her own professional growth. For Diamonds, Karen manages social media and, as a neurodivergent individual, brings fresh creativity to the club.

Before coaching, Karen played Back to Netball from 2019, often serving as captain.

“My ethos is for girls to enjoy the sport and have fun; win, lose, or draw, netball helps them become future leaders and problem solvers.”

Coaching Team

Our coaching team sits at the heart of Diamonds — a passionate group who bring energy, expertise and genuine care to every session. They help create the positive, inclusive environment we’re known for and play a key role in the club’s continued growth.

Our coaches bring a brilliant mix of experience, from those just starting their coaching journey to others with years of playing and netball involvement across local leagues. We’re committed to supporting every coach as they develop, offering guidance, training and opportunities so they can grow with confidence — just like our players.

Each coach leads their own team and provides essential match‑day support, working closely with Sam and Karen to ensure every player enjoys the best possible experience, filled with development, encouragement and plenty of Diamonds spirit.

Junior Coaches

We are proud to introduce our Junior Coaches — dedicated young leaders who support our younger players during training sessions. They share their growing netball knowledge, act as positive role models, and help create a welcoming, encouraging environment for our newest members.

Being a Junior Coach gives our girls the chance to develop confidence, communication skills and leadership qualities. Through mentoring and supporting younger age groups, they gain valuable experience that helps them grow as future coaches, umpires and leaders within the club.

Their commitment also contributes to England Netball’s Pass On Your Passion initiative, which celebrates young people giving back to the sport they love.
