About Diamonds Netball Club Wigan

Diamonds Netball was established in 2018 and has grown into a competitive and community‑focused club. In August 2025, the club relaunched with a refreshed identity, strengthened leadership, and an expanded coaching team, opening up new opportunities for players across all age groups.

Since the relaunch, Diamonds has been competing in both the Warrington Netball League and the Wigan & Leigh Netball League, proudly representing the local area with energy and ambition.

The club’s mission is to create meaningful opportunities for girls in Wigan and beyond—supporting them to develop skills, confidence, and a love for netball within a positive, inclusive environment.

Message from Chairperson

“I’ve been part of Diamonds since 2018, when my daughter first joined the club, and it’s been a huge part of my life ever since. Netball has always been in my blood — I started playing at 10, went on to run my own team, and competed across the Wigan, Leigh and Bolton leagues, winning multiple titles along the way.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to represent Diamonds as Chair, working alongside our brilliant committee and coaching team to build a club the Wigan community can truly be proud of. Our focus is simple: creating opportunities, nurturing confidence, and giving every girl a place to grow and shine.

I’m naturally competitive and love seeing players develop both on and off the court. One of my standout moments was getting to play alongside my daughter for Diamonds — a memory I’ll always treasure.

Away from netball, I work full‑time in HR and enjoy all kinds of sport. Being part of Diamonds means so much to me, not just for the netball, but for everything this club stands for: development, belonging, and a genuine love of the game.”
